Our Parish Clerk has received a letter from the Chief Executive of North Yorkshire County Council, inviting the Thornton Steward Parish Meeting to complete a questionnaire which is seeking our views on a Draft Parish Charter Consultation document. 

The Charter sets out the arrangements for partnership working between the new North Yorkshire Council (which comes into effect on 1 April 2023), and local City, Town and Parish Councils and Parish Meetings.

The proposed arrangements will be discussed at the Parish Meeting being held in The Institute on 1st February 2023 and the questionnaire will be completed during the meeting. (See forthcoming events for Agenda.)
