In an emergency - follow First Aid protocols e.g. check patient responses, etc. - then dial 999.
The Ambulance Service will:
- send an ambulance
- tell you the 'code' to unlock the defibrillator cabinet
- advise on CPR
The AED is ready to use (green symbol showing) and, once opened, will talk the user through the process.
Further advice - There is a folder in the defibrillator cabinet with First Aid protocols, AED sequence 'picture guidance' and the AED User Manual.
